FinallySimple Bluetooth My wife and I use wireless headsets in our bedroom at night so we can watch TV without keeping our kids awake. We used an infrared transmitter for a while but the headphones were bulky and uncomfortable and the sound quality was mediocre. We foundnice slim bluetooth headsets and needed transmitters. We bought a Clear Sounds product that worked ok but you had to hold the On button for 5 seconds each to turn it on and off and an LED on the unit blinks like a Christmas tree at night. The Sony unit turns on with a quick push of the button quickly pairs with out headsets has no flashing LED and automatically turns off once the headset is off for a while. It's just easier and the sound quality is fantastic.
Not for Use with LineOut I purchased this unit in the hopes of using it to transmit sound from our TV to a blue tooth headset. It looked promising online however once I opened the box and read the instructions I noted a clear warning in the installation instructions that sound would be distorted if it were with the lineout audio jack rather than a headphone jack. Well the instructions were dead on. The sound was horribly distorted using the line out jack from my TV. Unfortunately my TV doesn't have a head phone jack. So this unit is going back to Amazon. I'm sure that if I did have a headphone jack it would have been fine.
Tried several others..this is the BEST I was looking for a transmitter to use with my TV and a pair of stereo bluetooth headphones that I already had. I tried several other transmitters but they were too complicated and too hard to put into paring mode. This one just works! You simply hold the button down for 7 seconds and do the same with the headphones and it works every time. This is important when you're trying to get it to work while watching TV in the dark. Plus there is zero delay in the audio so the experience of watching TV is excellent. I recommend this unit highly.
Good product for TV viewing. Excellent product. I paired it with a sony ericsson bluetooth ear phone also purchased from amazon and it was good to go. Never dropped the signal or anything. I use it primarily to watch TV in my room without disturbing others.
Can't get it to work with Jabra Sport Goal was to use this with my Jabra sport cordless headphones for use on the the exercise equipment. Still unable to pair them both devices show they are in pairing mode but they cannot find each other. I have an email into both Sony and Jabra for help but not optimistic. Will update as necessary. Update The Sony Bluetooth transmitter does not support HSP and/or HPA so most newer devices will not pair.
Great device! We used this to transmit a bluetooth signal to a bluetooth receiver/speaker hidden in a trumpet to make it appear the performer was playing the horn I work in theatre. I was the skeptic in the room thinking this will never work I was wrong. After a few runs of the show I was so impressed I started a blog on bluetooth in theatre highlighting this device's success and have included links to the amazon purchase page. I'm even considering buying one for home to use in its more traditional role.
Blue tooth enabler This apparently superseded product was just what I need to add a bluetooth functionality to my TV so my wife could read while I listened to the audio track of the latest blockbuster. Being Oz based the 110> 4.5V transformer went into the bin but my inveterate collecting of all things CE had a 240>4.5V transformer connected and we were cooking. Easy to connect to my bluetooth headphones. Now I have just got to work out a simple way of switching my TV speakers after plugging in to my rear mounted earphone socket on my TV.
Not ready for primetime I bought this adapter so I could listen to my TV with bluetooth headphones. I returned the adapter for two reasons 1 The place in the back of the transmitter where the line out jack is plugged in was flimsy I had to push the jack in really hard to form a connection. 2 There was a sound lag that made watching TV while listening not enjoyable.This adapter is definitely not ready for primetime.

Anything but a wise investment. I purchased the HWSBTA2W adapter a month ago. For a while it paired well with my iphone and the music streamed continuously now the music cuts out intermittently every once in a while. I phoned sony support about the problem I was told this problem was normal and can be expected. Those comments won't justify the price ofthe purchase period.
