NZ501 best out there This is the best 1 din out there everything is straight forward and easy to use. Screen is clear and crisp. This thing is amazing im running the builtin amp at 2 ohms very very very loud and clear no problems. Navigation is good and allot of POIS Bluetooth work awesome. There is nothing about this deck I don't like.. sub works really good. if your thing about this to have in your car it would be the best thing you can do to complement your car and functionality clarion is known for sound and stability Bose uses them in some high end car stereos u can buy in new cars today.. Worth every penny.
I love the radio but it does have a few glitches It's nice to add modern electronics Bluetooth GPS iPhone controls Voice Calls to my 98 Corvette all through a single head unit! The Good1. I can put all of my music & music videos on a USB stick.2. I can stream Pandora through my iPhone using Bluetooth.3. I can stream my iPhone using Bluetooth.4. Siri works just fine through the head unit.5. The voice calls are very clear on both ends I did buy an external mic and have never used the one on the unit itself.6. When I connect my iPhone cable through the USB interface the album art from my iPhone and from Pandora both appear on the screen.7. I can control Pandora basic functionality like pause & skip but not changing stations and iPhone full functionality through the interface.8. The GPS controls are easy to use and the voice prompts tells you well in advanced of what's to come.9. The GPS has several nice configuration features like it can warn if you¡¦re going a certain percentage over the speed limit. I had it set to 30% over the speed limit and it was practically going off every time I drove the car so I turned it off. º9. I really like the interface for the Tuner as it is both digital and shows the old school radio bands. The Bad1. The touchscreen is not as accurate as I'm used to on the iPhone. I sometimes have to push the song 2 or 3 times before it takes. Or when I¡¦m trying to scroll it will do a select of the song or video.2. When entering an address on the GPS you have to know it exactly right down to the zip code or the exact city. I tried to find a street and because I didn't know the exact city it wouldn't take it. The GPS preselects street names as you type and is based on the city & state information. It doesn't show you streets that are similar to what you are looking for. If there is an option to turn off the preselection I haven't found it yet.3. I haven't figured out how to get the clock to show when the screen is closed4.
Amazing i did my research on this item before i bought it i watched videos of the operation read the users manual and was completely impressed. when i got it in the mail and installed it i was even more impressed. after having it for about a week now and playing with the options it blows my mind away all the things it can really do and how easy yet complicated it is. the sound is crystal clear the video is amazing the small programs with the unit are like no other and are very useful. My most favorite is the trip log. if your wife or the kid were to take the car out after the car is returned you can see where they went turn buy turn how long they were there for how long it took were they stopped along the way what speeds they traveled at how long it took to get to the speed. And all of that is viewable on the map so you can see if they hit 80mph on a side street lol. i love this thing one of my buddies i worked with likes it so much he's buying the double din version for his truck.
Great Player I was a little skeptical about ordering this player sue to the cost and I have only read reviews I hadn't actually been able to see/touch the player. This player does everything and more. It is much easier to install than it's single DIN predecessors. Functionally it has lived up to the quality products I have come to expect from Clarion. Good quality audio plenty of features and no hangups.
Great Product Super Clean
Nearly perfect I received this headunit in the mail last week and couldn't wait to install it! Now there is a learning curve every radio upgrade and I'm still getting used to this one. I love the GPS feature and all the options that are available can't wait to test it on a long distance road trip. I'm glad I choose this model over the VZ401. The interface is pretty user friendly and the display is one of the best I have owned with any previous radio this is coming from someone who has owned probably 30 different ones over the years. As other people have stated a small knob for quick volume turn down would have been the thing to make this thing nearly perfect but in time I may be able to adjust to the up/down button.

XO Vision XO1915BT Screen In dash It was ok at first but im looking for a new stereo now
3" Touch Screen In-dash Read more...- 3" Touch Screen In-Dash XO Vision
XOvision XO1915BT LCD DVD BT USB SD Car Stereo I looked for some time when I was making my purchasing decision. Since I am not in the business and don't buy a lot of these it took a while to locate a unit in my price range with the features I wanted. When I located the XO Vision unit it had all of my desired features but I knew nothing of the company or product quality and there were very few reviews available on the Internet. Many times the old adage you get what you pay for turns out to be true and when looking to save money quality is sacrificed. This turned out not to be the case with the XO1915BT. I am pleased with my purchase.I installed this in my 06 Tacoma after purchasing a dash kit. Install went well but I won't bore you with those details other than to say this unit had decent documentation and a good wiring diagram affixed to the top of the unit. The manual was very mild chineglish and could have been clearer on things like connecting the brake and tranny wires for the DVD playback feature. The quality is good. The removable face is a nice feature. It is not motorized but of good quality and works well. The radio has good sound and plenty of volume. I installed 6x9 Pioneer 3 ways in the front and 6.5 Pioneer 3 ways in the back so my rating is based off decent speakers. I love Toyota but their speakers are a weak spot and will not stand up to anything more than the stock stereo. My days of constant really loud rock have passed but I have cranked it up a few times and it seems to do well without distortion. I also listen to a lot of jazz and some classical and it all sounds good through this unit. There are the usual balance fader bass and treble adjustments with limited EQ features and a couple of EQ presets. These are all accessed through the touch screen. The menu system is well laid out and intuitive. I didn't need the manual to figure out how to use the thing which was good. The USB is front mounted but you have to flip the faceplate down to access the SD and DVD slot. This is not problematic but worth mentioning. The LCD screen is very clear bright and well defined. It has nice resolution. It is as good as any radio unit I looked at while shopping. DVD playback works well. I have not tried video from SD so I can't comment but the docs say it is supported.
Excellent stereo Installed this stereo and the audio is great dont talk about the amazing features that it has. Everyone that saw this stereo is interested in purchasing one.
It was ok at first but im looking for a new stereo now I bought this unit over a year ago mainly becaue i wanted to get rid of my existing clarion that was giving me reception problems. at first everything was great on this with the one exception of the bluetooth. the mic on this thing is inset in the faceplate and is absolutely worthless. unless your face is 5 inches from the head unit and your shouting at it no one can hear you or you sound like your in a warehouse shouting from 50 ft away. Well i didnt buy it for that reason so i figure no real loss there. the usb/flash card slots are very nice and still function fine however the display screen for giving the visual feedback on what song is playing needs lots of work. the main problem is they used extreemly small fonts and tried to display too much information at once. half the screen is taken up with blank space for folders. The color scheme is light blue background with white text so this further hinders the contrast. The other side of the screen is for the next 8 or so songs that are limited to 8.3character format like an old dos computer. the very top of the screen shows the actual song ID3 information using about 8 or 9 pixils of height.
aka DP301BL at Fry's Electronics After purchasing one of these units at Fry's Eletronics who sells these under their inhouse brand DP Audio Video as a DP301BL. I started looking on the internet for more information and help with selfinstallation and wiring but I haven't had any luck. I still can't get it working in my Nissan pickup but while searching I found out they are also sold under the XO Vision brand. The salesman at Fry's gave me a demo and showed me how to pair my phone with it. It has a lot of great features for the price the only complaints Ive heard on the web were that there isn't a dimmer for the monitor and the background screen cant be changed. I paid 149+tax a few days ago. I just ran into some more $ so I've decided to return it and upgrade to a 7 and have them install it since I'm having trouble.
Solid player with faults First I want to start out by saying I like this product. I did a lot of research before I bought it. I purchased this stereo because it had all of the features I wanted at a low price. The CD player works well and sounds good. The touch screen is very responsive and easy to use. I have yet to play a DVD in it but I'm sure its going to be good quality.I purchased this receiver for the SD slot. It's easy to use stores a lot of music 2GB Max and the sound quality is very good. The Bluetooth is also a great feature. Easy to use quick and the sound quality is good. When I make calls driving 60+ MPH I can hear the caller fine but I tend to have to raise my voice. Overall the Bluetooth is a great feature and just adds to the value of this receiver. The CONSYou can barely read the names of the songs/artist when you play songs off a SD Card. That is all I use and you would have to be a couple of inches in front of the screen to see the songs. This is a HUGE fault of the player/company. I don't think anyone in the XO Vision company tested this feature because if they saw how small the text were they would change it ASAP. I even contacted XO Vision to see if there was a zoom feature or a way to increase the font there was no way. Even the Tech said that they get a lot of complaints about this feature.Overall a good product for the price $200. SD slot touch screen Bluetooth and detachable faceplate were the selling features for me. They work well I just use the RANDOM selection when I play songs off the SD Card. I would like to see a bigger SD card be accepted 8GB but 2GB isn't terrible. The remote control isn't even an option to use it's HUGE. If you're looking for something with a lot of features for a cheap price than this product is for you. Nothing is perfect enjoy.
DP Audio Video Model # DP301BL []DP301BLI bought this from Fry's Electronics in Woodland Hills CA a few months back. I installed this in my 93 Honda Civic Si which has only 6.5 Infinity Kappa Components on the doors and Infinity Kappa 5.25 3 way coaxials in the rear panels. My stereo system isn't amplified it's just being powered by the head unit itself.I'm pleased with the performance of the unit. Touch screen is very responsive I only tap it with my finger and it responds well. The bluetooth comes handy especially now since the hands free cell phone law passed in July 2008. I mainly use the unit with my SD card. The DVD function works well I just don't use it as often as the other features. It also comes with the RCA cord for an MP3 plugin which I use with my Ipod. Overall the unit is functional I bought the extended warranty for it as well. I've even used the USB port with my portable drives and it plays the music without any problems. It comes with a remote as well but I don't use it. Some of the features don't work so I just use the touch screen to control everything.ProsTouch screenBluetoothRotary knob for volumeVery affordableRemote conrolConsSometimes bluetooth doesn't connect I have to reconnect it at times it also could be my own cell phone.English wasn't checked before unit was shipped out for final productionIniting instead of Initiating.SD card placement could be easier to get to. You must remove the face to install the card.Overall the unit is great inexpensive and works well for what I bought it for. Since I'm driving a lot bluetooth is the way to go.I highly recommend this unit to everyone I'll pick up another unit for my other car soon.
Awesome features but falls short on many details With the hands free law now in CA I had to think of something for using the phone while driving in my primary car. I cant stand any ear pieces corded or bluetooth and wanted something integrated into the car speakers. After doing extended research I came upon this deck. I had a Pioneer deck that was working just fine but I really wanted the bluetooth cell phone feature featured on this product. I am quite pleased with the many other features it comes it! Install was less than 30 mins. The bluetooth feature connected to my LG enV2 effortlessly. Calls come in nice and clear via the car's speakers. I did have a lot of feedback and a humming noise the first couple calls I made but after powering down the unit and restarting it the feedback and noise disappeared. The people on the other end of my call couldn't even tell I was talking through the mic located on the front of the deck. Also useful that it stops the music or video to accept the calls. Lame that it doesn't have a phonebook feature or shows names but its not that hard to glance at your phone for one second to see who it is.DVDs and DVDRs play excellently on this unit. At first there was feedback coming through the speakers and you could actually hear the DVD spinning in the unit. I popped out the DVD and tried it again and the sound went away. Tried several DVDRs and had no problems. The screen is too small to really enjoy whatever you're watching unless you move your face really close to it. I got some mpg and wmv files to play on it via an SD card but it wouldn't play avi files. It also wouldn't play any video files via a USB flash drive.MP3s via the SD card and CDRs come in loud and clear. Switching between folders is a pain unless you use the remote. Also fast forwarding and rewinding tracks is ridiculous. The text is also too small.Playing regular old CDs works fine sounds even better than the Pioneer I had but why must they make the track number and song time so darn small? Why not use the entire screen? Plus the XO vision logo as the permanent background is lame. Why don't they have the name of the artist or song? Major downer is that you cannot view the time when playing CDs. What the heck is that? Even the $70 Sony deck I have in my junk car has those features.

Clarion VX401 Double Din Touchscreen Bluetooth sad, at best

- 6.2-inch Digital Touch Panel WVGA Touch Panel LCD Monitor
- USB connector also supports playback of MP3 and WMA files
- iPod and iPhone connectivity for seamless enjoyment of your favorite audio and video content. (Optional CCA748 cable is required.)
poor quality first one i purchased didn't work! they sent a replacement and just recently the CD player stopped working other than that its been nice.
If buying for BTAudio beware I purchased this item for two features. 1 Bluetooth audio streaming and 2 video inputs for my HKS CAMP 2. While the device technically fulfills both my needs it goes about doing it in the most nonsensical manner possible. Unlike other aftermarket and even OEM stereos that support BTAudio this unit does not have it listed as an input. It will do it but it requires you to navigate through several menus to access it after every boot up of the device.
Unreliable. Not a good value for the $$$ I will never buy another Clarion deck after owning this unit. Sure the deck is a grand improvement on a stock deck but for the price I'd rather own a highend nondvd deck DVD being novelty in a sedan. This is the bargain barrel DVD touchscreen deck and it is not worth your time or money. The interface sucks and it is unreliable. I can't tear it a new arsehole though without giving it some positive feedback though so here are some pros.PROSSounds better than a stock deck. Builtin Bluetooth mic works well for phone calls. You can watch movies on it when it lets you. Inexpensive for a DVD touch deck.CONSAUDIO QUALITYThe first next thing you will notice is the lack of midrange frequency in your audio primarily where vocals are heard. You can turn up the bass and treble but there are no controls for Mid.
sad at best I used to own a 2 location Car stereo shop with that said i am a big fan of clarion. now i have been out of the business for over a decade. So i immediatly turned to clarion! I have owned ever head unit by clarion from 95 to 2002 This thing is a joke The worst radio reception i have ever seen! even worse than boss and jensen! The format menu's and just the units basic firmware are slower than a snail.
Over all ok After reading all the mixed reviews of the VX400 I went with the newest model out on the market the VX401. My husband installed the unit in our 04 Tahoe after buying an aftermarket wiring harness one thing we have found out is because of the On Star this requires an expensive harness we went with a lesser one because I have choose not to use the On Star feature with my truck. The features are simple and the menu screen is easy to nagivate. The intergrated microphone is great and BT works great!!! We are still in the process of linking the rear factory DVD to the front player I will update as we progress. If you are looking for navigation though go with another model this one has the capabilities but the expansion kit is very expensive.Over all this radio has done everything I have wanted I wanted a BT intergrated radio touch screen and a good radio. I don't have satellite radio or any high tech equipment I just wanted the cool simple things in a radio. I hope this helps. I am happy with my choice and will be enjoying the radio for awhile.
Too Many Good Competitors to Consider This Had to return this to the installation folks twice. Bluetooth and touch screen freezes. Covered under warranty although I'm out a stereo for a week. Growing up Clarion was the top brand. Times have changed.
Do you like your movies Squashed or Cropped? The VX401 is for you! I bought the Clarion VX401 from Amazon in February 2011. Its predecessor model VX400 had lots of decent reviews on Amazon so I bought the 2011 model VX401 hoping it would be just as good or better. Our family car has headrestmounted monitors for the second row passengers. The VX401 seemed like a good device for queuing up movies for our pintsized passengers to watch in the rear. The user interface is woeful especially if you are trying to navigate the menus using the handheld IR remote control and the DVD aspect ratio choices are unforgivably bad. The VX401 is back in the box now and headed back to Amazon for a refund.Thankfully I did a trial setup of this unit on a workbench BEFORE bothering to install it in our vehicle.

Great but not without its flaws There were mixed reviews on this unit but I've been pretty happy with it. It is more responsive and not quite as laggy as other units I've researched. The maps are decent but not quite as detailed as I would like them to be. The startup time could be greatly improved in my opinion but I have a remote start on my truck so that tends not to be a problem for me.The thing I absolutely hate the most is that when you are navigating somewhere the music just cuts out then you hear the voice guidance with the faint sound of your music in the background then the music comes back on then two seconds later another prompt comes up in the same manner if you are approaching a turn or exit. It wouldn't be nearly as bad if the music was mixed with the voice prompts in a better fashion. If you buy this be sure not to put anything on the SD card that came in the unit you will then need to buy a new one from Clarion. You cannot as far as I know use your own SD card with loaded content media/music you would need to use a USB drive or iPod.My iPod hooked up nicely and the unit supports music out of the box through USB. You will need another adapter to get the iPod/iPhone video working. The unit played DVD's fine and while the DVD menus are not touch capable controls will popup when you need them.I have a steering wheel and OnStar adapter Axxess hooked up and they both work great. The radio lacks some common steering wheel input commands but the basic functions are there.I got the unit from Amazon as it was the cheapest place I could find. Shipping was quick and the product was problem free so far.I would recommend this unit to those that are looking for an alternative to the common Kenwood slow Sony buggy and Pioneer crappy interface units.
Phenominal. The GPS is fantastic. All the other complaints seem to be glitches in their own system.I haven't had a problem yet.The display COULD be brighter.Thats all.
Not perfect but worth it. Features High resolution display optional Sirius Optional HD radio bluetooth and built in navigation system aux in and out for your iPod etc. Also has a DVD player and can set up an option for back seat viewing as well. Optional backup camera. Comes with remote.Pros Great screen quality Interface is easy to use Bluetooth calls are great and internal mic is decent. Navigation is accurate and very detail. Sirius sounds great DVD plays and looks well Screen is very responsive and quick. USB connection.Cons Sirius doesn't automatically go to presets when turning on unit. Long boot time. Camera is almost useless. CD can take a few seconds to load. This is my first DVD/Navigation head unit and let me say first that this Clarion NX501 is a beautiful stereo. I managed to squeeze this radio in my 2006 Dodge Dakota. Trust me this took a lot of work because my original unit was a 1.5 DIN unit. Lots of modifications to my dash with my dremil priming and wet sanding. It turned out great! still got to put final coat of paint on. If you have a car/truck that already had a double DIN radio then your installation will be very easy with a simple radio kit for your vehicle. The lay out of the wires are labeled and easy to hook up. The directions that come with the Clarion are very clear and precise. I am by no means an audio freak but I think the unit sounds great. Sirius also sounds great considering you are getting the signal from outer space. I love calling people on my Bluetooth. It does very well synchronizing my contacts. Callers are able to hear me fine with the internal mic. Many people seem to complain about this feature but may not realize there is an option to turn the mic up in the settings. There are external mics available as well but will see how the internal mic will hold up first. The boot time on the radio is the only really bothersome thing for me.
Top shelf navigation unit This is by far the best navigation unit I ever had in a vehicle. This is installed in my 2005 F150. Looks factory. The navigation is top notch. The only downside to this radio is the usb connection for the Ipod. For whatever reason sometimes you have to unplug your ipod and plug it back in to make the unit recognize it. I had a pioneer navigation in the past and I like this one better.
Almost Perfect A Definite Buy I was so happy when I bought this. I snagged it for $630 and it was worth every penny. The UI is great the feature list is deep and the performance is stellar. The GPS is the best I've ever used and that's coming from a Garmin Nuvi which I didn't think could get any better. The sound is incredible. My stock speakers in my Ford Explorer sounds so awesome now. I can only imagine what it would sound like if I had good speakers. If you buy one make sure you get a new version. Major fixes to the problems that other reviewers have mentioned have been implemented.FIXESI bought this about 4 months ago when it first came out and the external mic from Clarion did not work with it. I had to send it in and they replaced it with a newer version. The external mix now works and it is perfect. I haven't had a complaint yet from people on the other end. There has been a firmware update. Before if you turned off the radio when the input was NOT Sirius you had to reset the unit after turning on again because Sirius wouldn't work. Sirius now ALWAY turns on no matter what the input was.General Bluetooth connectivity is much improved.CONThe only real con I have is the screen. While gorgeous especially at night it is HIGHLY reflective. I've had to experiment with the angle of installation in order to get the best viewing angle. With my polorized sunglasses on it was almost impossible to read. Now it is passable. Granted it isn't ALWAYS in bright light so that is not the worst. This is the only reason I gave my review 4 stars. If the screen was a little less reflective 5 stars easily. This is really a great radio. I couldn't be more happy.
it was soo bad
Clarion NX501 After reading the earlier reviews I was skeptical about buying this product but after purchasing it I love it. I haven't had any issues with this item and it works perfectly.
My review of Clarion NX501 JUL 2012 I just installed this unit in our 2005 Honda Element. Installation was very simple after reading the wiring diagram and buying the proper wiring harness adapter for Honda. Everything was plug and play on rear of receiver which meant I could leave off things I was not using subwoofer HD radio cords etc. This meant more room to work with behind unit for installation in smaller cars this will be helpful. I installed a backup camera at the same time and this head unit had the input already labeled for that and the wire to run to the reverse light which made the unit automatically switch to the back up camera once car was put in reverse.
Too many problems This has not worked %100 correctly since I got it. I've had it for a few months and still struggle with the touch screen. As an IT person I deal touch screen phones and other devices. I had a problem starting the Sirius. This was fixed with a firmware update and then the navigation stopped working. Calling Clarion was disappointing. They transferred me to a local installer and he told me to call back and go to the option to check on an existing case. He said that is the only way to actually speak to a customer service representative. When I did talk to the tech he was less then friendly. I shipped out the SD card and I'm waiting for it to be repaired.
NX501 Has updates on Clarion Site it works fine I have the same unit you guys do there are 3 udates on the Clarion site you could have done any of them. You are all reporting old problems. my NX501 works fine without any issues. As for the NX602 I am sure it is using the same firmware so the updates will be the same shortly if they are not already out there. Go look and see.

ok product Good product for a while. Had to ship back for repairs. Shipping was easy but cost 15 dollars. They returned it repaired in a timely manner but now after having it back for a couple weeks buttons are going out not functioning. Just waiting now for it to go out completely again.
DON'T PURCHASE Item was purchased and installed and stopped working 9 months after having it.screen would not slide out with assistance. Sent it back to Boss and when we got it back after so called repairs it still did not workdon't waste your time.
Works as advertised easy setup nice item! This indash DVD player works exactly as advertised. The best price is the price this was hte most reasonably priced system that I could find. The card reader AUX input touchscreen are all features which one wouldn't expect at this price. Setup is intuitive and easy. I'm not good at setting up electronic devices but this was easy even for me. Overall a great item definitely recommended.
great item for the price I ddnt realize that it would be this small.I didnt like the look of it ut i got it for someone brthdy. He loves it he lkes the sounds he had it for a month now he says the dvd player wrks great the picture image is good its not fzzy in all i wouldnt buy this one for me cause I would want a bigger one but it would look good in a car or small jeep.
GREAT RADIO I PURCHASED THE BOSS BV9976 I INSTALLED IT IN MY 93 CADILLIAC FLEETWOOD BROUGHAM. THE SOUND WAS GREAT FOR THE PRICE. THE INSTALLATION WAS EASY AN HANDY AS WELL AS THE QUALITY OF THE RADIO. IT DOESN'T PROVIDE A SUBWOOFER LEVEL BUT IT HAS A BASS AN TREBLE SETTINGS. THE VIDEO QUALITY IS GOOD THE USB IS GREAT AND THE SD CARD SLOT PICKS UP VERY GOOD. OVERALL THE RADIO IS GREAT FOR THE PRICE. I WOULD PERFER IF YOU LOKING FOR A GREAT RADIO FOR A GOOD PRICE THAT WON'T BREAK THE BANK THIS IS WHAT YOU NEED. WITH MY HEADREST SCREENS IN THE BACK IT SHOWS GREAT. HAVEN'T TRIED THE BACK UP CAMERA YET DON'T NEED THAT BUT EVERYTHING ELSE IT IS A GREAT RADIO.
Absolutely Worthless First one I ordered DOA.Second one I ordered partly defective. You gotta love installing something like this only to find out it's no good. But twice??? give me a break.Oh the second one does work but only the radio functionality. If I attempt any other mode eg Video player cd player usb mode I get PLEASE STOP WATCH VIDEO PLAYER text on the screen.
Quit after 6 months
Loved it until Loved it until it broke just after a few months. Took great care of it and then the screen just stopped coming out.
Worst InDash EVER!! First off the touch screen does not work. Second the CPU is slower than 56k. Third there are no EQ levels. Fourth I purchased a Jensen InDash back in 2003 and it was 3x better this is just some cheap china crap that malfunctions for pennies on the dollar.
Wheres the Subwoofer EQ. levels !?! Love the product..first time having a dvd indash in my 93'Mark VIII so i am thrilled! the fact that it comes stock with great JBL audio/stereo system is great and ever since installing 2 subwoofers in the trunk as well as a previous deck the sound system pounded! With this Boss Audio deck however you cannot adjust the subwoofer levels only your car speakers may be leveled out with treble or bass. therefore my subs in the back bump only with certain bass heavy songs.

Beautiful looking unit I got this as a gift for my 1998 Porsche Boxster that I bought a few months ago. I wanted a new receiver primarily so that I could play my iPod in the car as there was no tape player for an adapter and I HATE the iPod players that go through the radio. I also wanted something that looked clean and didn't stand out too much as an obvious aftermarket radio in the car and one that would be able to change colors to match my dash. Well as far as looks go you can't get much cleaner. Only 3 buttons and the wheel. The screen is easy to read and there are a LOT of colors to choose from for the theme. iPod connection is great although because of my preference I have some small gripes with it. I really enjoy controlling the song selection from the iPod itself because it's fast and I can hit the next song or back up without looking at the screen. This may be because I'm used to using the tape player adapters where you HAD to control on the iPod but nonetheless I'm used to it. You can plug an aux cable in and control directly from the iPod that way but unfortunately then the screen is just black with no information and an annoying safety warning every time you turn the car on. I understand that this is just the technology and a video can't be played through aux but it would be cool to show something besides black. There may be a way to do thisI've only had the stereo a few weeks.
Amazing but I miss iPod control. So I bought this deck in all honesty for looks. I wanted to adjust button color and I wanted something win a big face because Audi b5A4's have a big slot which leaves a gap with a standard deck. Plus the SD feature was attractive. My old deck was a Pioneer DEH3100ub which I also loved. Share very similar features the 8200 is easier to browse artists via deck but there is no option to control from the iPod itself. The joystick is ever harder to press although as the driver it's not bad at all as a passenger it's a little more difficult. It looks gorgeous and is very customizable with color I was amazed. The SD will accept any size so log as it's Class 4 or under by the way I know this for fact because I put an 8 gig class 4 card in and it worked just fine so don't listen to the manual that says max 2 gb. I wish it had an iPod cable connection in the back instead of having t hang off the front but as I've been told back connections are dissapearing these days. Also there aren't many shortcuts so you will have to go through menu's nit a big deal to the tech savvy but possible annoying to the critical consumer.
Recomendaciones Definitely the products you buy on Amazon are of excellent quality and the person and the shops are absolutely trustworthy.
Excelent Product!
overall nice a few minor details.. the pioneer car stereo screen is very nice the clarity and colors along with the size is great for viewing. the sound of the pioneer stereo is very clean. the stereo as a whole is a very sleek and modern looks great. however the productivity ofwhatever you are playing is instantly slowed down when the san disc is inserted. as well as slow to read the san disc itself. also the bluetooth only works for phone calls. i bought this thinking it was for music greatly dissapointed. the display is not like the older models this one is very poor and not entertaining to the eye. the dial is very confusing and not made for fast changes. as for the remote too many buttons it does nothing except volume and song change very lame. so if you want a great sound and only sound this is for you. i myself need a little more depth. not enough functions for my taste.
Great device I have just a few days using it and it's my first experience with Pioneer car audio but I'm pretty happy with it. There's a learning curve but once you get used to the logic it becomes very easy.I read on the specs that it supported SD cards up to 2 Gb but I've tried with an 8Gb SD card and it works without problems at least to see pictures. It was easy to pair the bluetooth with my iPhone and the quality of the sound was pretty good. I could hear without problems and I was heard very clearly as well.
Warning! No bluetooth audio!! What! no bluetooth audio? That god I didn't install this i my car. It was too late to return it on amazon so I resold it on ebay. If you are looking for this type of stereo I recommend looking at the Sony DSXS300BTX. I purchased this through amazon.com and I absolutely love it. Check out my video review.
hi I have received this radio Two days ago Quality as we used to just wonderful Installation was easy I found one problem I live in middle east Channels that We have Numbers are differentfor example there is no 99 channel only 99.1 99.3 but there is no 99.
