Good Features Tragic Interface Alright I love the features and you can't beat the price. Everyone has said that and it's true.The interface is tragic though. It's clunky scattered unintuitive and all in all seems pretty poorly thought out. Poorly in the sense that any middle school kid could have come up with a better interface.
positive deck installed perfectly into my lincoln town car and works great..bluetooth easily pairedsytems has good sound and picturepaid 300 for the unit and so far it is worth every pennyi personally didnt need navigation being that i have a smartphone and it comes built in..shipping i ordered my package around 5p.m on wednesday chose the 2day shipping and it arrived around 10a.m friday..this was my first purchase through amazon.
the Good and the Bad I purchased this product on July 1 of 2010. the product is very user friendly. I especially love the built in Bluetooth feature. yes they do sell an external mic for bluetooth but honestly you do not need it. my Droid phone syncs up with it as soon as you turn the car on. Very powerful unit and made my factory speakers really sound good once you adjust all of the audio settings. Aside from all of that very good product. Now for the Bad. Like I said I purchased this in July of this year. Hear it is midNovember and the touch screen stoped working.
like! PRO..Bluetooth works well i stream music from my cell. no jacks attached usb is ok.CON..Don't care for the menu set upwhen scrolling through menue every music stops playing.when all is said and done I like this unit would reccomend it.
Clarion vx400 This is by far the worse item u can buy. Very slow feels like a middle school kid designed it. I returned it and went with the pioneer p3200bt and it is nite n day difference. It is like going from windows 98 to windows 7. Do not buy u will regret it n feel like I did when I had to replace it.
Looks good but usb function crippled for no reason.. I bought this product for my wife because it had bluetooth and was from a reputable company but overall the product is a let down.I went through all the reviews but no one mentioned a couple crucial flaws with the unit so I will focus on them as the good has been covered in many reviews.**CONS**Interface like everyone says is very clunky and not very intuitiveTouch screen is not that responsiveThe tuner doesn't seem powerful can barely get some stations she used to get with old Alpine unitUSB cable is really short doesn't read some devices like my hd2 and worst of all can only play mp3/wma no video format. I mean seriously all these no name brand companies allow to play video files/audio/images. It doesn't allow you to navigate the USB drive where you can view your folders it just generates a list of mp3/wma files it finds on the drive.I can see the screen flickering especially at the home screen maybe a defective unit but a heads up to anyoneNot sure if it supports video files burnt onto a DVD in data format and not DVD video format i.e videos saved in different folders If it doesn't then this is a really a poor choice on the manufacturer's part my neighbors' Boss unit does all this with easeOverall I wouldn't purchase it again because of its short comings.
Awesome Deck This deck is great. Good power output and plenty of options to play with.. Works well with my ipod and mp3 cds. The only negative thing I have for this product is the display picture. The VX 400 is not the navigation model.
Halfbaked POS So many things wrong with this crap don't know where to start. Interface is so unintuitive USB and Ipod interface is buggy and navigation with the NP400 Nav module is confusing and frustating. Save urself the hassle and go elsewhere. Had mine for about 1.5 years and had enough looking for another unit to replace this piece of junk.
GOOD BUY Great buy works with Iphone 4 you just need to buy the adapter and its all good from there. I had to modify it by buying a toggle switch so i can watch movies while ill drive. Blue tooth works good just raise the gain on the mic so they can hear you. gps is ok. other then that it really worth the money.
Below expectations I purchased this unit for my 2006 Camryand it fits the dash perfectly.However this unit does not live up to expectations compared to similar units from Pioneer Sony in its price range.There are no screen savers for the kind money this unit costbluetooth has to be constantly resettouchscreen sensitivity has to be also recalibrated constantlyphone speaker left or right speakerkeeps switching from original setting not easy to manually save your favorite radio stationsIt has to scan and save which will include stations not preferred.Tuner is not the best. I know lesser units that have better quality tuners.I paid $250.
