  • bad navi Here's the thingThe unit is AWSOME and the units navigation SUCKS.Lovehandsfree clear in Honda pilotbluetooth audio can connect with the phone even if the phone is connected with other blue tooth device like headset or..audio overallvideo overall divx xvid..plays allmenudisplay very clear and no problems at all with touchesinstallation was a breezeHateNavigation just about everything in this section sucks POIs are displayed always with the farthermost first sometimes it takes it 20 minutes before it finds the road I'm driving on!!!! Does not know the exits.etc..
Awesome at first not so much anymore I had this Double DIN unit custom installed in my dash to replace a failing factory DINandahalf unit. Everything works but some daily use things in the GUI and voice recognition leave alot to be desired. I've owned and used this unit daily for the past 8 months. It does sound great no doubt about that.** The GUI does not utilize space well for most screen uses. Particularly the Radio Data System RDS info learn more at [] ** When on Radio Detail view there is alot of screen space there to show whats going on yet the RDS info is crammed into a small mostly empty area in the upper left with small font and about an inch and a half long there is plenty of space there to have the RDS info completely display all the information pertaining to Artist Title Album Station ID etc. The RDS info can also be cryptic at times. This issue is carried over when viewing a listing of all the radio stations. The display lists 6 presets but you cannot label the presets. They are labeled by the RDS info whenever you are listening to that preset. When you change off that preset to another the RDS info stops where it was in its broadcast. What you endup with is a garbled listing of nothingness. A typical example is given below1 !hitas2 y love3 Kinks4 Classic5 Adam6 all thWhen listening to Satellite stations there is no way to know other than your own personal memory of what preset you are on. You will see a listing of 6 presets and none indicate what they are preset as. Example XM/Sirius channel 15 is Classic Rewind and 23 is Hair Metal but the display does not show as that just Preset 2 Preset 3.** Voice Recognition feature.
Pioneer AVICZ110BT I've seen a GPS software that's a little bit better but besides that this thing is the best as long as you install it correctly.
Awesome!! So far this thing has been great! I mark it down one star because even some restaurants will not come up and I know for sure they have been around for awhile also it dies not auto fill streets or city's when finding an address like it's previous models have. Overall this is a great product and Bluetooth through the speakers is awesome when connected with IPhone and full customization in equalizer area. Auto dim as well when headlights are turned on! **disclaimer** I am not encouraging nor would I recommend it for younger adults who are easily distracted but there is a way to watch movies and set directions while driving as well.
Not great. Item is not accurate with my location. It is always displaying me driving on either the wrong side of the freeway or on houses. WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND TO OTHERS! Not even people I dislike. This will be the last Pioneer product I will purchase.
Nearly perfect minor bugs though. My main unit for comparison here is the AVIC F90BT their previous flagship. This one is faster to boot more responsive and more featurefilled. There's still a few minor bugsIf you don't OK the navigation warning before your phone connects the voice control is messed up until you turn it off and on again it's fairly easy to miss this if you have the unit on iPod or FM when you turn it off.Just like the F90BT sometimes browsing the iPod by artist letter gives you no results for letters that definitely have artists under them. The voice control of nav is great for the categories in it Find nearest Sears brings up a list of the nearest Sears very well the directions are good and the prompts are very good too using prerecorded numbers and such to tell you exit numbers without going to a robotic voice.Voice control of iPod is similarly good the best in the market. Play artist The Hanslick Rebellion does exactly what you'd expect it to as does Play Album Zetacarnosa.
Definately a flagship Well let me say that this stereo is definitely worth the money. I bought it back in April and I have certainly gotten my money worth from it. I truly love the iPod integration which works like a charm. All my music plays crisp and clear as if I were using the headphones with the iPod. I really enjoy using the different options to play my music everything from the SD card to Bluetoothing it directly from my iPhone although when I do bluetooth it sometimes it's a little choppy and pauses very slightly. The phone option worked very well and calls through my car's speakers were loud and understandable. But I must say when it came time to setup the bluetooth to my iPhone it was very hard but I blame that from on not reading the manual that came with the stereo. All my contacts and recently missed and missed calls were on the screen and I rarely had to use the phone for anything. Lastly the gps feature. Although it served its purpose I do have my gripes with it. Some locations were simply not found and I could easily find the same address on the maps on my iPhone and I would use that as opposed to the gps unit.
What happens down the road Here's what just happened to me. I buy a Pioneer AVIC system and had it professionally installed. I paid full price for it. It works for a couple years it breaks for no reason blank screen can't see the touch screen buttons etc etc. Pioneer charges me 200.00 flat rate to fix it. It works for another couple years then breaks again. They tell me it's a problem with the flex cord that bends when the screen pops out it eventually cracks. I inspected mine and saw the cracked flex cord. I send it in to be fixed for free because the flex cord is a recall issue. They receive it and call me saying it's not the flex cord and I need to pay another 200.00 to fix. They cannot tell me what it is that's broken they just want another 200.00. I tell them to keep it and be assured that I will never buy another Pioneer product. Don't let this happen to you.
Radio station presets are a big hassle AM reception sucks Trying to set the radio station presets by using the brief instructions printed in the owner's manual is impossible. I've had to call Pioneer customer service help 3 times in the past year whenever trying to set my favorite radio stations. I'm reasonably bright and build computers from scratch as well as write code for various software programs. So when I say the documentation is flawed take my word for it! The various function keys and controls do not seem to follow any common sense order. BUT GUESS WHAT? When if finally reached an English speaking support tech she told me that I needed to PRESS IN THE BUTTON FOR 5 SECONDS! This little trick was NOT in the printed directions. Once I did this setting the presets was easy. No mention of the 5 second rule anywhere in all the isntructions. The AM band on the radio tuner is abysmal quality. Unfortunately I got too busy for a few months right after this unit was installed in my Jaguar. NOW it is too late to exchange the model so I'm stuck trying to make this unit work.
Navigation=Thumbs DOWN 1. Navi is the worst! it keeps telling me to a road that would take me back 3 miles South on the highway when all I have to do is go up 1 block to the highway Northbound and it always says to take it. Where's the self learning?2. No mute button unless you hold down the voice button for 5 seconds. By that time you could of lowered the volume to zero.3.
