Exceptional product for the price I've been using this system for a few months now. The unit was very easy to install. Updating the maps on this model is a breeze. The thing I like best about this unit is it's ease of use. The touch screen with the proximity sensor is great because it allows you to easily control your unit. The navigation system has been very accurate and the vehicle info screen that tells me trip readings current speed avg. speed location etc. has been pretty accurate. I think I was off by 1 MPH on my speedometer. I think JVC thought of everything with the bluetooth phone and audio USB connection for a flash drive SD card reader and the iPod connector. You want to get the iPod adapter for best use of the iPod. The unit operates slowly if it's connected through the USB. I've been very happy with this model so far and would highly recommend it to others.
The one and only car reciver but. This is the best thing i seen so far. the only thing is the safty stuff..
Not too bad I bought this unit from another vender refurbished to install in my loaded '03 GMC Sierra sorry Amazon they were cheaper lol I figured why not top it off with a nav unit?Tax refunds are great! So I have had unit for about a month and just got the Bluetooth module for it today interestingly it appears that the only difference between the 'NX7000 and the 'NX7000BT is one comes with the BT module and one don't and in both cases the BT module is external. The GPS function works great but in my experience the addresses are slightly off for instance my house is in the middle of the block but it shows my address near the corner and the live traffic updates either don't work or my area doesn't seem to support it since it is supposed to work with the RDS system.which my area is still lacking in 2011There are some minor inconveniences for instance upon termination of a call you have to reselect whatever source you were listening to prior to the call and the iPod connection is slow when trying to search for music. Another thing that bothers me is that not all the settings are in one central menu instead they are scattered and to access them ya have to be in the respective source. One more complaint is that it will not play video from the SD card slot instead the video has to be either on a disc or iPod with the optional adapter.
No Complaints So Far Installed this product a couple weeks ago.. i love it.. The Navi works great.. Audio/Video playback is excellent.. MP3 AVI DVD Divx plays just about everything love the detachable face.. still figuring out the remote tho.. the front panel is convienent and touch screen response is great.. proximity sensor is cool.. i keep asking myself how it know when your a couple inches away from the screen.. speed guidance keeps me from speeding on the interstate..
Excellent Unit GPS works great. Sound quality is excellent. This unit does everything better than other ones I have tested. Also I like how it has add ons instead of built in features lets you customize it to yourself.Only problem I have with it is the steering wheel control module is a little slow for the volume control.
mediocre at best but it works I am reviewing JVC KSU20 iPod Video adapter with the JVC K WNX7000. It is an ok Navigation and IPod player but it doesn't do either really well looks good operation is a royal pain in the rear at times but in the end it's a good product. IPod navigation is the biggest drawback they could have done WAYYYYYY better.
Mediocre Usability and Unit Failure I've had my KWNX7000 for about a year now. Simultaneously I bought my wife a Pioneer AVICX910BT 2DIN GPS unit for her car a comparable unit. The KWNX7000 user experience pales in comparison to Pioneer. JVC's unit is simply not as intuitive to use though you'll get to learn it's nuances over time. What has prompted me to write a review is recently after below freezing temperatures the JVC's touch screen has gone nearly completely white on me and has stayed that way. I can barely make out what's on the screen and GPS functionality is simply not possible unless I want to crash the car squinting at it. I suspect it is just not very rugged in cold temps and that perhaps it can break when you use it without letting the LCD warm up? While I got a good price online I wish I could return to a local store for a full refund no way after a year. Further one of the main reasons I like the KWNX7000 is it is one of the few 2DIN RDSTMC units traffic reports. I had just paid for a 2nd year and now this happens. Good luck trying to get my money back on RDSTMC service which is attached to the unit serial number. On the contrary if you have the Pioneer unit your traffic reports comes via MSN Direct a service that Microsoft is terminating Jan 1st 2012 a little over a year from now. Pioneer has had this warning for nearly a year and has not created RDSTMC units to replace their MSN Direct units or at least has not put them on the market. So if you want traffic on a 2DIN unit KWNX7000 has it and will continue to have it since this is the current standard.
Great price point excellent GPS and pretty good UI Pros Fast GPS Wide variety of supported inputs Great quality screen Senses when your hand is approaching to light up!Cons UI could be easier/faster in certain placesTypically I would steer clear of anything with a JVC label. In the past I have been a fan of Onkyo Alpine and Kenwood products JVC always seemed like an off brand that did mediocre products.
Awesome Unit Initially I just wanted an indash Navigational unit but eventually I wanted everything. And I got it! This unit was relatively easy to install after the required modification to the double din kit due to it being even larger than the standard double din's. the display is large bright and user friendly. The media options are nearly infinite I found the USB input to be most useful due to the large capacity of thumb drives. The media inputs can be DVD DVD RW CD RW SD card USB even ipod with an adapter. The navigational unit is the best I have ever had it cuts off your music and speaks clearly through the car speakers. When the Navigation indicates a turn it tells you at 1.5 .5 and .1 mile so you have to be deaf to miss your turn. A neat option it has is it will tell you the speed limit of the road you are on and if you choose it will warn you when you exceed 10 MPH above that speed limit I quickly found that annoying and turned it off. The points of interest are well updated and plentiful I have found no flaws in addresses so far and it finds satellite signal quickly and calculates the route faster than any external GPS.The sound quality will be better than the factory installed stereo but not a good as you would expect from a high end dedicated music stereo. The highs sound great but the low end bass is not very powerful but all around it sounds much better than factory.Bottom line The best unit with the most options for the money on the market. Highly recommended.
