Very good product for the money I AM PLEASED WITH THE UNIT IT HAS ALOT OF FEATURERS THAT THE MORE EXPENSIVE BRANDS HAVE THE DISPLAY IS GREAT AND IT CHANGES FROM ONE MODE TO THE NEXT FLAWLESSLY. THE ONLY GRIPE IS THAT I HAVE A 2003 TAHOE WITH STERRING WHELL CONTROLS FOR SEEK VOLUME ETC. I HAVE SEEN WHEEL CONTROLS ON THE UNIT BUT THERE ARE NO INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW TO PROGRAM IT EVEN WITH THE METRA ASWCAXXCESS STEERING WHEEL CONTROL ADAPTER I HAVENT BEEN ABLE TO PROGRAM THE CONTROLS FOR THE STEERING WHEEL ANYONE KNOW HOW TO PROGRAM THE STEERING WHEEL CONTROLS? OR WHERE I CAN FIND THE INSTRUCTIONS? OVERALL I WOULD SAY ITS A GOOD NAVIGATION ENTERTAINMENT UNIT.
Pyle PLDNV8I Was looking for a double din radio for months and finally end up on amazon the pyle double din is one of the best double din on the market everything works as i expect love the GPS tells you when there is a camera at the inter section and also have the ability to tell you if you are driving over the speed limit the 7 screen was my idea since i didn't want to have any buttons on the side. great radio for the price. I have this radio installed in my 2000 bmw 323 looks great and works great .
Bang for buck Great bang for buck.Pros has a lot of features.First 2 units I received one for car one for truck were bad & had to be exchanged. Thanks to Amazon for fast turn around 2 days. One had a bad DVD player bad disc with any dvd I put in. Also had a hi pitched whine on the bluetooth source. Wouldn't go away unless I turned the car off & back on then quickly changed sources. Second unit would constantly open the motorized screen & continue running the motor non stop. Frustrating since I had to spend several hours trouble shooting & removing the units.Received the 2 replacement units overnight shipping thanks again Amazon and installed them. Some minor quirks but over all good. Installed the 1st in my truck the ipod cable sometimes doesn't play right channel audio. Have to squeeze the adapter & wiggle it. The 2nd installed in my wifes car the 4gb sd card for gps was bad on arrival. Luckily I had ordered 2 & copied the software from the 1st sd card onto my laptop. Then bought a new card at Walmart also 4 gb and pasted the information onto the new card. Put it in & good to go.I'll be contacting the manufacturer for a replacement ipod cable and sd card. Will also be asking about the map updates as all updating I have attempted thus far failed.EditI still haven't contacted the manufacturer for replacement of the defective items. I'll be doing that Monday.Additional information this was my first in depth DIY car audio/video install. I ended up around 15 hours per vehicle. This involved the head unit door & dash speakers/tweeters rear view camera subwoofer under seat & custom dash aux inputs RCA for video 1/8 stereo for audio. If you have some electronic knowledge & are patient this isn't a terrible DIY project. If you aren't electronically knowledgeable & a patient person I highly suggest getting this professionally installed.Have used them driving around town & on a 6 hour road trip. I've noticed a few things.First I wish the reset between touch screen presses was faster. You can only press buttons so fast about 12 times a second. While this doesn't seem like a big deal it makes a difference for those who want to turn the volume up/down quickly cycle through pages on your ipod.Second making and receiving phone calls. If you have a disc playing it will pause the movie to switch to the bluetooth feature.
Gps map updates I installed this unit into a 2007 Ford Explorer. It took about seven hours including the back up camera also made by Pyle. Neither one had insallation instructions. The unit is telling me my gps maps are out of date and to go to naviextras.com for updates.I was also told by PYLE support to contact naviextras. Don't bother naviextras does NOT support this unit. I have contacted PYLE support again and am now told that the manufacture does the gps map udates. I was told to call them back in a month about a updated sim card. So far poor service and inacurate information.Just received this email response from Naviextras Dear Don Tillwe would like to inform you that the sent license is not valid.It seems that you became victim of software piracy as this license is used by a lot of cracked software. Great multimedia Head Unit I haven't had this unit long but it is a great multimedia unit so far. Love all the different connection it can do with your media and Navigation is also ok so far. A nice EQ control and wattage to push all interior speakers dispite not being a pioneer or clarion. The one thing I don't like is it had no installation manual but luckly I know how to install.

Great unit but not for the first time installer. I installed this unit in my 2006 Chevy Express and the install turned out great. I have installed hundreds of car stereo / navigation / mobile entertainment systems and this one really gave me a tough time. If you have never installed a unit like this or are at all hesitant DO NOT INSTALL IT YOURSELF. IT DOESN'T COME WITH AN INSTALLATION MANUAL. There is no metal sleeve for you to install in your dash and slide the stereo into most double din radios don't use this method. I had to custom fabricate mounting brackets and only used the face trim piece also had to be trimmed so the unit would fit inside out of the installation kit. This unit also has a lot of connections. You get the basic 4 speaker + power 2 sets of preouts front and rear 1 mono sub out. There is also the standard antenna input gps antenna input and ipod cable connection. It has an aux input right left and video backup camera input and 2 video out connectors. The unit also has a power antenna amplifier power backup light sensor and parking break connection. There are 3 other wires that I haven't been able to find any documentation on. These are labeled key 1 key 2 and key ground. I believe these are used for steering wheel controls or wired remotes possibly for the 2 video outputs.
DVD PLAYER doesnt work after 1 month !!!!!!! Hello Guys I am really dissapointed with this product. After 1 month I cant read any DVD Disc says BAD DISC.
worth every penny First of all Amazon is the best for their fast delivery. The product is everything and more.The radio I had prior not from amazon.com of course was more than twice the price and did much less. In case you're wondering don't by any BOYO products.If your looking for something with a bunch of features easy to install and very reasonable this is it.
