Not all it seems This product isn't really water proof because i have it in my back window and it has condensation inside the of the product fuzzing vision making it difficult to see.
Decent Camera for the money Alright I will do a quick run down. The camera works pretty well and doesn't seem to have any issues as of now. The camera has the marker lines that are built into the video which is nice but setting the camera up to be accurate with the numbers is near impossible. You kinda just set up the camera to get the best view you can. I have it above my license plate at about a 30 degree angle and can get about 10' of view behind the truck. I do wish that it had a better angle of view up and down cause you can see what is on the ground ten feet away but you can't see what is directly behind the vehicle till you are right on it. The best way to put it is this it is a great camera for hooking up trailers and precision parking once you are close but it does not have enough spread to be considered a good backup camera where you can just look at the screen and back up without mirrors.
2 years and running I just ordered my 2nd one of these cameras. Very simple hook up very good night vision and even better day vision with color. I have used and abused my truck with this camera even offroading and it's still kicking.
Back up camera for my Tundra I purchased this after reading a post on tundratalk.net about install a budget rear view camera in a Tundra. It fits in the factory tailgate handle with a little modification and is simple to wire up. You will need a rca extension and an adaptor to put the two together as the wire from the camera is not long enough to reach the dash on its own. The image quality is a lot better that I though it would be for a camera of this type/price.
Dead on Arrival This product did not work right out of the package. Paid Best Buy to run the wiring and they did not test it before starting the install. Purchased the Boyo camera and it plugged into the same wiring as the XO HTC35 and worked perfectly. These are so cheap it might be a good idea to buy 2 so you have a backup.
worked wellfor a month I bought this camera had it professionaly installed and it worked well for a month. After the first month it started doing some weird things on the screen. After about two months it was black on the screen while backing up. It has been dead ever since.
Backup camera The camera looks great mounted to the rear bumper. I chose to go with the flush look and is barely noticable. The picture quality is good except the picture is reversed. I can deal with that as long as I have sight from the rear.
You Get What You Pay For I bought two of these annd the night vision packed up on both within a week. The manufacturer warranty states that they will repair and ship to you if you cover shipping to them but theny won't. They want you to pay shipping both ways which is more than the price of the camera. Do yourself a favour pay an extra few bucks for a better one.
Works GREAT. Works GREAT. very good at night with low light. Cheap cam dose the job. Everyone who sees me use it thinks it cost me loads.
washed out Fairly easy to install. Comes with hole saw. Hard to judge distance when backing up. Worked fine for approximately six months. Now view is washed out fuzzy. tested monitor with another video input very clear display. Camera needs replacing. Will try another brand instead.
